Large Hand Carved Hope Chest Storage Blanket Box / Ottoman

  

Lovely hand carved wooden trunk, large with metal clasp, detailed carved design all around. It's really striking, unusual, solid and spacious.

Carvings are religious style, possibly Asian/Oriental. Not sure of age, maker, material etc. Can tell it's hand carved from tool markings around the designs. Genuinely bought this today, it just doesn't work in my house so I'm very sad! One foot is loose, the hinge is broken and there are scuffs and dirt and a small breech in the lining as in pics.
