What i have for sale is a compact/rustic but fully restored early Victorian pine trunk. 29 1 1/4 inches wide. Great for a quirky table or storage maybe a chest to store kindling and firelighters etc. Victorian pine chest probably a tool chest or maybe of military origins. Firstly stripped of layers of paint and old varnish and stripped back to the bare wood outside.

Handles and hinges removed sanded and cleaned. Woodworm treated as a precaution. Waxed all over in lashings of pine wax, inside/outside even underneath has been done. Original small brass hinges and period screws.

Original small brass lock(no keep or key). Stands on two little wooden plinths. Original large handles and original screws. Trim on bottom of trunk body and top of trunk to all four sides.

Small internal candle box(this is a later feature). Smooth and tactile all over. Great patina and a subtle sheen. Has a warm and weathered appearance to it, almost a dark pitch pine hue.

This is a very old item and as such carries many character marks and historic repairs/changes etc. Please study the many pictures 24!
